Claude and I had a 12,000 word back and forth on how to use Cloudflare and GA4 data to answer a hard question. If you were a SaaS marketer what would you do with all that context to make better answers?
Maybe the answer isn't "better content" but build a Claude connector and market it aggressively to prepare for a world where agents just say "keep working in one click".
I have been querying my GA 4 data via Claude to ask questions instead of asking a web analyst since June 2025, when I wrote what it looks like to lose your job to AI. That is now 15 months, 0 questions TONs of helpful answers. Answers that helped me understand my business, answers that gave me insights I didn't ask for and now I am seeing answers that tell you roadblocks and how to unlock them.
I believe the job of analytics is to make the black box of marketing data less black, while acknowledging that it will never be clear again...
Thanks to that phrasing from Adam Melson, Seer alumni & all around good human.
OK, so what does this have to do with paid and organic visibility for SaaS?
Like many technical marketers, I now code to solve my problems, I might be coding something that was already built or already exists. Claude, Cowork, Codex, etc are now solving for that via native connectors in their platforms.
This presents an opportunity for SaaS marketers, move fast become the defacto "connector" hardwired into the brain of the models before your competitors do.
The problem I was solving:
I have been using Cloudflare to try to make sense of link preview bots from Slack, Whatsapp, etc to help me determine what content is connecting with humans and is showing up as direct traffic & make direct traffic less of an unkknown catch all "making the black box, less black".

Our brands are being talked about by people in WhatsApp, Texts, Messenger, Slack - places lumped into direct. You know what else is direct some scraper someone is running and I can't easily tell the difference in GA4!! Yet if I could I could create more marketing value.
Why have we all just "accepted" that we can't make more sense from direct?
I was working on how to use Cloudflare bot data to help me understand when content is performing in hard to track places that shows up as direct. I wanted to combine that log data which contains link previews with my GA4 data, luckily I was in the wrong project because Claude dropped this on me:

You see that "connectors that could help", Claude is now looking at the problem I am working on right now and offering me solutions, right now to keep me moving.
My new thinking
There is only 1 connector Claude recommended, supermetrics. No buying competitor ads here to try to sponge off all their hard work, this is a better answer! How many paid search marketers are dumping craptons of money on competitor ads and not funding actually being a better alternative?
Why this AI answer stopped me right in my tracks, and should for you too...
The timing: It's real time, nothing better than someone or something showing up at the exact time you need it, with an ability to click, sign up and refresh the chat.
The layout: I like how the formatting is, how it is seamlessly integrated but stands out enough to make you take action, and it is an easy button, click to connect.
The context: Telling me "Supermetrics could do this" is different than saying, I see what you are trying to do and I recommend this tool. This is 100x better than "Googling it" which never carries the context.

The paid search impact: Imagine answers (paid or organic), but we'll use paid here, that contextually understand what problem you are trying to solve and gives you an ad that can solve it.
Look at the current paid landscape, the ads don't know what I am trying to do, the landing pages sure as hell won't.

The organic search & analytics impact: This is why people say websites might go away, and this is the first time I am agreeing with them.
As I scroll through their landing page, look at all the friction to try to give me the thing I am looking for... they only know I came to this page from "Google" organic. So they have to throw the kitchen sink at me.

Wouldn't it be better if I could just give them my context? But that context is locked away in ChatGPT or Claude.
Which is why that "connect to this tool" feature could be a critical link in the future. Today it is organic, maybe tomorrow it is paid, and if the context is right I would pay for that visibility in a heartbeat.
Step1: Build your connectors and market TF outta them.
If I was a SaaS Marketer given this above I would be pressing to launch my connectors for Codex, Co-Work, Claude, etc - anywhere people are getting work done.
I've seen a version of this for Seer, when we move quick and build content that doesn't exist we can become a default answer in places like "deep research" and the value of that is that we keep getting PR even a year afterwards. This is the SaaS marketers version of that. Move early, don't just build a page for the connector, market it. Get use cases from actual people, scan Reddits to show people what's possible, connect with journalists. Let's get crackin.
