Many of our team members use their expertise beyond the digital marketing space, applying their knowledge to support nonprofits and mission-driven organizations.

Seer’s Commitment to Community Impact
Seer’s commitment to community impact goes beyond words, it's embedded in our actions. In 2023, we proudly became a Certified B Corporation, formalizing our dedication to social and environmental responsibility. Our team members actively engage in various initiatives, such as participating in a three-day build with Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery and Delaware Counties, where they collaborated across divisions to support affordable housing projects.
We've embraced our remote-first identity by organizing monthly volunteer activities accessible to all team members, including pantry clean-outs, blood donations, and letter-writing campaigns to senior citizens. These efforts reflect how the team leverages their professional skills and personal passions to uplift non-profit organizations, creating a positive ripple effect in our communities.
Here are five stories about team members who have stepped up to use their talents in unique ways — whether it’s optimizing search visibility for a local charity, creating data-driven strategies for fundraising efforts, or helping nonprofits connect with the right audiences.
Using Search Data to Advocate for City Park Resources
Sandi Griffin, Sr. SEO Manager
Sandi leveraged her expertise in search data analysis to support the River Parks Authority in Tulsa, specifically aiding the director of Turkey Mountain Park. With only one person managing events, promotions, and trail upkeep, the director needed to advocate for additional resources. To do so, he needed to prove that his promotion efforts were working and that hiring another team member would be worth it, as it would mean engaging the community even more effectively.
To help make a compelling case to the board, Sandi conducted a search interest analysis, illustrating how frequently people searched for Turkey Mountain online before and after the events and promotion campaigns the Director conducted. She compared this data to The Gathering Place, a well-known $1 billion park in Tulsa with enough resources for dozens of employees, demonstrating how awareness and interest in Turkey Mountain had grown significantly over time, even with just one staff member.
Her findings revealed that while The Gathering Place historically dominated searches, Turkey Mountain’s search interest increased by 50% over the past three years, while The Gathering Place remained static. Additionally, Turkey Mountain’s share of total park-related searches in Tulsa grew from 22% in 2020–2021 to 26% in 2023–2024, proving that the Director's promotional events were driving awareness for the park.
This data-driven insight helped the Director secure additional funding, hiring a second staff member to support Turkey Mountain’s growth and accessibility further. Using tools like Google Trends and MSV over time, Sandi demonstrated the tangible impact of increased promotion and engagement, reinforcing the value of investing in Turkey Mountain.
Analytics & Development for Community & Families in Need
Sasha Helms, Analytics Developer
In addition to her work as an Analytics Developer at Seer, Sasha Helms frequently volunteers her web development and design skills to support non-profit organizations. Before joining Seer Interactive, Sasha was a web developer, building websites for local clients. While her current role focuses on analytics, volunteering allows her to continue exercising her development skills meaningfully—helping non-profits modernize their digital presence while keeping her design expertise sharp.
One standout project was a complete website rebuild for Child and Family Services of Saginaw, a Michigan-based organization that provides mental health services for individuals and families facing challenging circumstances. The new website helped streamline user experience and better communicate the organization’s mission and services to the community.
Currently, Sasha is working with Community Missions of Niagara Frontier, a New York-based non-profit that serves vulnerable populations across Niagara County. Their services include emergency shelter, transitional housing, food distribution, mental health support, and more. Their existing website was outdated, so Sasha took on the task of rebuilding it from the ground up. The project is now in the review stage, with the new site fully built and the organization's team working through content updates in a staging environment. Once finalized, the new site will offer a much-improved experience for the organization and those it serves.

Blending Passion and Purpose: How Lindsay Uses Her Marketing Background to Support Child Passenger Safety
Lindsay Lewandowski, Sr. SEO Manager
When Lindsay became pregnant with her now five-year-old, she, like many new parents, dove headfirst into researching car seats. What started as a practical necessity quickly sparked a deeper interest. As she navigated the overwhelming world of child passenger safety, Lindsay developed a genuine passion for the topic, becoming an informal advocate among friends and family.
This budding interest took root in 2021, just a year after her son was born, when she joined Seer Interactive. With Seer’s unlimited volunteer time off, Lindsay earned her Child Passenger Safety Technician (CPST) certification. This designation allowed her to formally help parents and caregivers ensure their children rode safely.
Later that year, Lindsay joined Car Seats for the Littles, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving child passenger safety in all forms of transit — cars, planes, school buses, and more. Initially, she became part of the team as a volunteer, lending a hand wherever possible.
Given her professional background in SEO and marketing, it wasn’t long before Lindsay’s skills found a unique home within the organization. She began contributing to the social media team, crafting posts, writing car seat reviews, and eventually writing recall notices. Content that needed to be clear, timely, and optimized for discoverability.
Lindsay's marketing expertise brought a fresh perspective to the nonprofit. She introduced SEO best practices into their content strategy, ensuring that critical information reached caregivers when they needed it most. She also played a key role in managing the organization’s Amazon affiliate program and supporting fundraising initiatives, helping the nonprofit grow its reach and impact in tangible ways.
Her contributions didn’t go unnoticed. By the end of 2021, she was nominated and elected to the Board of Directors as the Technology Director. In this role, Lindsay blends her technical skills with her passion for advocacy, supporting administrative needs like managing Google accounts and calendars while leading major digital projects such as the organization’s website migration and redesign.
With the evolving digital landscape and the rise of AI-generated content, Lindsay is focused on ensuring the site reflects the authority and trustworthiness that Car Seats for the Littles has built over time. Her understanding of SEO, combined with her background in web development, allows her to guide this transition in a way that strengthens the nonprofit’s long-term digital presence.
“I’ve really been able to blend my two passions,” Lindsay says. “My passion for child passenger safety and my skills in marketing. It’s rewarding to know that my professional expertise can make a difference far beyond the office—and ultimately help protect kids and support caregivers everywhere.”
Giving Back Through Technical SEO: How John Helped a Texas Non-Profit Thrive Online
John Varghese, Sr. Technical SEO Manager
John Varghese, a Senior Technical SEO Manager at Seer Interactive, recently volunteered through Catchafire, a platform that connects skilled professionals with non-profits needing support. Using his deep technical expertise, John partnered with the Phoenix Center—a Central Texas organization providing mental health care for children and teens—to help improve their website performance, enhance visibility, and build long-term digital self-sufficiency.
Finding the Right Fit: Catchafire made it easy to browse available projects and match up with organizations based on my skillset. I found a project from the Phoenix Center, a non-profit based in Central Texas that provides mental health care for children and teens. Their services range from counseling and equine therapy to parenting groups and trauma-informed care training.
As a fellow Texan, John was excited to help a nearby organization doing important work. After applying through the platform, they had a 15-minute call to ensure it was a good match—and from there, they got started.
Applying Technical SEO to Drive Real-World Impact
The Phoenix Center team had a basic understanding of SEO, but needed help with some of the more technical aspects of their site. Over the course of 15–20 hours, John was able to:
- Enforce HTTPS across the site
- Set up canonical redirects
- Optimize metadata
- Improve page speed and site performance
He also configured Google Analytics and Google Search Console and provided basic dashboards so the team could track site performance moving forward. One of the more unexpected but rewarding wins was updating their Google Maps listing—a crucial fix since they were opening a new main campus in a rural area.
Before the update, deliveries and visitors often ended up at the wrong part of campus. By correcting the road information and entrance location, we saved the staff time and reduced confusion for families trying to find care.
Beyond the technical support, John aimed to empower the Phoenix Center team to be more self-sufficient. He walked them through their site setup, explained the basics of SEO and analytics, and helped them understand how to maintain improvements over time.
We also connected them with Seer’s Paid Search team, who introduced them to the Google Ad Grants program and guided them through the application process—helping them take a step forward in their digital marketing journey.
“Volunteering with Catchafire gave me a chance to use my skills in a meaningful way, and it was incredibly fulfilling to support an organization making such a difference in young lives.” John commented. “I’d highly recommend the platform to other professionals looking to give back—you never know the impact a few hours of your time might have.”
