Event Recap – Marketing Analytics: Proving and Improving Online Performance

On August 15th, we held our "Marketing Analytics: Proving and Improving Online Performance" event at the Search Church. Speakers included SEER Interactive's Rachael Gerson and Aaron Levy, along with Joanna Lord from BigDoor (formerly of Moz), Tim Wilson from Web Analytics Demystified, and Justin Cutroni from Google. Each speaker chose a charity to which proceeds were donated, and they included the Laurel HouseAmerican Diabetes AssociationFeeding AmericaShare Our Strength, and the Analysis Exchange.

The event provided an in-depth look into the core principals of analytics including how to set measurable goals, get increased visibility into online channel performance, and embrace data-driven decision making. Since digital marketing comes along with a great deal of data, the presentations helped attendees to determine how to use that data to their advantage and to obtain actionable insights from it.
