Seer Interactive Introduces SeerSonar, a Volatility Tracker for AI Visibility

OCTOBER 13, 2026 — Philadelphia-based digital marketing agency Seer Interactive has launched SeerSonar, a public resource that tracks how much ChatGPT’s answers change over time.

SeerSonar does for AI search what MozCast does for Google: one consistent, ongoing reading of movement, so a shift in how ChatGPT responds shows up in the data before it shows up as a surprise in your reporting.

What SeerSonar Tracks

Seer runs a fixed set of 625 buyer-style prompts in ChatGPT roughly every three days. The prompts span five industries: Technology, Healthcare & Life Sciences, Finance & Insurance, Real Estate & Hospitality, and Industrial & Manufacturing. The set has stayed the same since January 2026, so this week can be compared to last month on equal terms. The dataset now holds more than 50,000 responses.

Why This Matters

With Google SERP, you can use a tool like MozCast to track when your rankings change. There's no equivalent tool for AI search, even though visibility inside AI answers moves more than search rankings. If a brand's AI visibility drops, there's no way to tell whether they caused the drop, the training data changed, or the entire model shifted.

SeerSonar is the instrument to help answer "how much did AI search shift this week, and who moved?" SeerSonar's drill-downs reveal which brands are winning and losing visibility, trends in formatting elements, and changes in AI answers across consecutive runs of the same prompt.

A More Detailed Look at SeerSonar

SeerSonar measures several key elements for brands interested in monitoring ongoing AI search changes and who is gaining or losing visibility:

* Volatility: A 0 to 100 score for how much ChatGPT’s answers moved between back-to-back runs of the same prompt, measured against a typical week in the first half of 2026. It blends changes in cited sources (about 50% of the score), formatting (about 35%), and wording (about 15%).

* Response elements: How often tables, lists, bold text, and prices appear in answers. Think of these as the “SERP features” of AI answers.

* Citation rate: The share of answers that cite at least one external source, tracked over time.

* Cited domains: The sites ChatGPT cites most, filterable by industry, with each domain’s citation share over time.

What's Next

This first version covers ChatGPT only, so the readings reflect those 625 prompts and five industries. Your Seer team will use SeerSonar as a reference point in reporting and research, and to flag when ChatGPT changes in ways that may affect your visibility. Findings will also appear in the Seer Newsletter.
