In October 2013, Wil Reynolds, founder of Seer, and Rand Fishkin, CEO of Moz, participated in an experiment called CEO Swap. For one week, they swapped jobs, email inboxes—even their homes—in an attempt to gain an understanding for how a friend and colleague in the industry tackles running a company. The benefits were two-fold: both Wil and Rand would get a chance to experience new ways dealing with similar challenges and the teams at Seer and Moz would also be exposed to fresh perspectives in the company’s leadership.
Wil flew to Seattle while Rand came to Philly and they both blogged about their experiences during and after the week. You can read it all below:

Managing Rand’s inbox is nuts. The amount of people who email Rand asking for his opinions and feedback is insane. And the fact that Rand tries really, really hard to get back to so many of those folks is commendable.
November 5, 2013: Rand shares his impression of Seer: the things we can work on and the things that we’re getting right
The loyalty, the passion, the dedication of the team that Wil has built at Seer is remarkable.
Wil shares his thoughts too, including the one thing he would change as CEO of Moz

December 12, 2013: The video recap is released!

There’s a lot going on. And it’s all good.
