Marisa joined the Seer team in November 2021 after being drawn to Seer’s approach to big data processing and cross-divisional collaboration in SEO. Her client experience spans the financial services, higher ed, healthcare, and accounting industries. She had done everything from copywriting to outreach to log file analysis, but she is incredibly passionate about consulting clients on content strategy and technical SEO. She thrives on unlocking new possibilities in digital marketing and helping her teammates grow in their careers.
In addition to a year of art school, Marisa graduated from Ball State University with a degree in English and a minor in Art History. During undergrad, she interned in PR, marketing, editing, and graphic design. She started her career as a digital content specialist at an ad agency, developing its content strategy and SEO program from the ground up. From there, she served as an SEO specialist and point of contact at a global CPA firm, helping integrate the SEO practice into the UX, dev, and editorial teams (and will never get internal and external audits mixed up again).
Outside of work, you will find her playing around with some Python scripts to discover new opportunities with machine learning, exploring an art or natural history museum, spending a day out on the lake during a Midwestern summer, or continuing her quest to find the world’s finest jasmine pearls tea. She also aspires to be the world’s best dog mom and always accepts advice for French Bulldogs and Boston Terriers.
