    so i can do it?

    Hi Emma,

I hear what you say in your post. But do you think that Google interpretates this link as a natural link? In the case of asking for a free review, I think so. In the way of hosting a giveaway, not so much I think. Thats not really natural imo. What do you think?

Great post Emma! I love that you’re using Link Clump in your process and I’ve yet to hear about Talkwalker so thanks for the heads-up! I did want to quickly mention that in Google’s Link Schemes resource it does include,”Buying or selling links that pass PageRank. This includes exchanging money for links, or posts that contain links; exchanging good or services for a link; or sending someone a “free” product in exchange for them writing about it and including a link.”

I’m not sure how strictly this is enforced or if it has ever resulted in an unnatural links warning but It may be wise to add a nofollow attribute to these types of links.

Good point, Brian! It’s a good idea to keep up with what Google has in their guidelines, which a lot of bloggers (impressively so) are very aware of. Hope you like TalkWalker!

Interesting stuff. Thanks for introducing me to Talkwalker. Thoughts on how it compares with Mention.net?
